Fine Art

My work lives at the intersection of process and presence.

My marbled paintings begin in a water bath where ink and pigment float on a carrageenan-thickened surface — water, gravity, and movement do what they will beyond my control. I prepare the conditions, select the colors, and then step back. My role is witness rather than creator. What emerges gets translated by hand onto canvas, scaling chance-generated moments into large, bold fields of color and line.

Alongside these paintings, I maintain a daily practice of smaller works on paper — intuitive, exploratory, drawn from non-dual philosophy, classical Tantra, Tibetan Buddhism, and a deep love of the natural world.

Across everything I make, I am interested in the boundary between doing and observing, control and surrender. I offer joy, beauty, and visual pleasure as a way of feeling into the complexity and playfulness of being alive.

There have been lapses in my daily practice, but you can check out my instagram for an archive of work — from early days experimenting with collage, to rekindling my creative flame in sketchbook practice. Prints available on request.
